I played only 11 holes of golf today and had to walk off the course. I can put up with not scoring well but I occasionally get into a swing pattern that doesn't allow for golf.

That swing for me is the ducking duck hook or smothered hook. Today my longest drive may have been 220 yards with 50-60 yards of right to left spin. Today I couldn't hit a long iron higher than 20 feet in the air and a 4 iron no higher that 10 feet.

I am coming into the shot from the inside with a dead shut face. I just couldn't fix it...Open stance, weak grip and the hooks kept coming. Stupid game sometimes.

Were you finishing on your left side on staying on your right side?

How forward was the ball in your stance?

I think there are a couple things going on.
1) I think I am hooding the face a bit at setup.
2) I was completely out of sync and at times was in fact hanging back.

My swing is such that it is very difficult for me to fade the ball. I used to hit a baby draw and now it is a fairly big draw. The exaggerated action is that hook.

Can you bottle that draw and Fedex it to me? I'll take baby or big draw. Makes no difference.

Change 10 things at once, see if that helps.

Just kidding. Your two points are valid.

Get that right hand more on top of the left hand and finish your swing!

When I get into a funk, I set up to tile in my house to check my alignment and making sure my face is square and not slightly closed, then I go back to swinging 70% until things straighten themselves out~

Lots of good advice here LL. Is it just the driver or it both driver and irons?

Unfortunately it's every damn club but the wedges.

I am going to try to get to the range with my phone to video it. Although I know it's a big in to our swing with the face closed.

I watched a video on YouTube on hitting a cut. I may practice that just to try the opposite and possibly cutdown on my big inside sweep.
